2013-Present: Laboratory – Spokane, Washington
Position: Founder, Curator, Artist

Created, curated, and hosted interactive art from a variety of artists. Developed tools for interactive art using the Microsoft Kinect SDK, the Cinder framework, Processing, and Arduino. Taught workshops and led hackathons aimed at developing technical and artistic skills within the local arts community.

2011-2013: Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology, Exertion Games Lab – Melbourne, Australia
Position: Visiting Researcher

Conducted ethnographic research into low-cost screen technology in urban play spaces. Developed open-source code for rapid prototyping USB video game controllers with Arduino.

Position: Founder, Lead Developer

Developed and marketing a novel interface for connecting a normal guitar to computer and video game systems. Coded Atmel AVR microcontrollers in C. Designed circuit boards in the KiCad design suite. Wrote and maintained website using WordPress and PHP.

Postion: Engineering/Programming Contractor

Developed novel game controller for physical therapy use. Designed and coded electronic back-end for 9 interactive exhibits in Bill Nye’s Climate Lab museum exhibit. Wrote scripts enabling the National Archives to batch edit and upload over 1200 historical videos to YouTube.

August 2006 – May 2009: Pomona College – Department of Art and Art History – Claremont, CA
Position: Sculpture Studio Technician

Helped 6 semesters of sculpture students with projects. Introduced students to sculpture studio equipment. Organized and maintained sculpture supplies. Upgraded building through installation of sound system, minor construction, and general maintenance.

July 2008 – December 2008: Pomona College – Information Technology Services
Position: Programming Assistant

Converted HTML website to CSS using Perl scripts. Scanned and edited over 300 photographs with Adobe Photoshop, and entered photograph meta-data into a database. Helped develop and test an Adobe Flash-based star chart viewing system.

January 2008-May 2008: Machine Project Gallery – Los Angles, CA
Position: General Intern

Updated and maintained gallery website and database using WordPress. Assisted in gallery renovation, installing custom bookshelves. Helped install and staff artist installations and performances.

July 2004 – August 2005: US Army – Special Troops Battalion Dining Facility – Fort Lewis, WA
Position: Administrative Specialist

Oversaw dining facility administrative department. Trained 20 personnel on safety and dining facility guidelines. Maintained all dining facility cash on hand. Ordered, received, stocked, and inventoried dining facility supplies.

August 2003 – July 2004: US Army– Special Troops Battalion Dining Facility – Fort Lewis, WA
Position: Food Service Specialist

Awarded Fort Lewis Cook of the Year 2004. Trained individuals on dining facility procedures. Prepared and served 600 meals per day. Maintained food service sanitation standards.
